Description
For our client , a leading telecom provider in Germany, we are  looking for a Network Delivery Manager.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the delivery of core network infrastructure complex, low volume or non- standard works orders including bespoke solutions and first of type work ensuring the required quality, time, cost and stakeholder needs are met
  • Responsible for the delivery of core network infrastructure multiple work orders that are grouped into a design, build & deployment project including non- standard work such as the transit & peering programme, software upgrades and bespoke network re-engineering, recoveries and optimisation
  • Establish and maintain the required work requests control and visibility including creation and management of the required work requests plans, trackers, issues, risks, resources, change and cost documentation and records
  • Engage with Design, Build & Deployment stakeholders to ensure the required work request deliverables are provided or expedited including designs, technical site power, space & cooling, materials, change approvals and build resources to meet the required delivery outcomes
  • Management of project costs associated with the successful delivery of Design, Build & Deployment work requests. Ensuring budgetary approval for all work requests, ensuring purchase order requests are submitted for local processing into the SAP team, tracking all PO requests through the approval process and providing reporting on the status of PO’s
  • Proactively identify risks, define and perform mitigating actions to avoid issues occurring that prevent delivery and where issues arise act as an escalation point and work with stakeholders to own and manage resolution
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc reports that provide management information regarding the status of delivery, risks, issues, changes and enable forecasting of material and labour spend
  • Represent TSSEB (Technical Site Strategy Engineering Build) on the in country Technical leadership team and attend the TLT meetings along with Planning stakeholders and Design, Build & Deployment stakeholders
  • Create and develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers and strategic partners to enable successful relationship management
Professional background

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience (must-have):

  • Experience of network infrastructure delivery in a carrier scale telecommunications environment
  • Portfolio Management Office, PMO, experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Computer literate with good working knowledge of MS Office packages, MS Project
  • Fluent English (written and spoken, native-level skills not necessary)
  • Fluent German (written and spoken, communication with team in Germany will be in German)

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience (nice to have):

  • Knowledge of data, transmission and related core network technologies
  • Previous experience of working in a large scale telecommunications provider
  • Knowledge of ticket tools (e.g. JIRA)
  • Knowledge or accreditation in recognised Portfolio, Programme or Project Management
