Head of Procurement

Description

Our client, a Telecom operator is looking for a Head of Procurement to manage, organize, and coordinate the purchase area to comply with the strategic goals of the company, to supply the necessities and petitioners areas with the products, teams and required services in agreement with the highest quality conditions, deadlines, prices and coherence, meanwhile respecting the established purchasing policies and legislations.

The purchasing manager’s main aims are:

• Contribute to the achievement of the strategic objectives of the company and especially those affecting the strategic definition of the supply chain and key suppliers.

• Coordinate the annual procurement plan, the purchasing process and manage the necessities, from the authorization requests and buying proposals, to the adequacy of contracts and ensure expected service levels are respected and complied with.

• Promote the evolution and development of the purchasing and logistics team, the adaptation of the necessary changes in the processes and procedures, the adequacy of used tools and purchasing policies if applicable, to maximize the value contributed by the area in terms of fulfilling its mission.

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree in Business Administration, Telecommunications engineering or similar

• Minimum experience of 10 years in Telecom, B2B

• High level of English (plus Spanish, Catalan or French)

• Ideally, full time with possibility to start as freelance
