Description
We are looking for a General Manager who will provide groupwide leadership, strategy and innovation on Payment Systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development, implementation and effective delivery of the Payment Systems strategy
  • Ensure effective communication of the strategy
  • Ensure that the strategic plans link directly to strategic goals and intent
  • Ensure effective monitoring mechanisms to track the implementation of strategy
  • Ensure the development of high level operational plans for each department that link to the function’s medium to long-term strategic goals
  • Ensure collaboration between the Payment Systems team and the Digital Platforms & Delivery teams in order to validate new payments solutions, design service blueprints and ensure quick implementation processes
  • Ensure automation, easy deployment and sound infrastructure for Payment Service platforms
  • Define how data is collected, stored and distributed across Payment System channels
  • Define the Payment systems technical architecture associated with the underlying platform infrastructure and the integration to back end systems
  • Define the approved tools and technologies to support team members and the services they provide
  • Accountable in ensuring platforms and services are operated according to internal standards, external accrediting agency standards and legal requirements
  • Drive the integration of digital platform architecture with the relevant technology systems
  • Lead the development of the framework and requirements for Payment systems, services and infrastructure to enable effective Payment services to the group
  • Research, define and implement new trends and services in terms of Payment to enable best-in-class innovative solutions and services
  • Liaise with and determine appropriateness of vendors or third parties that can create Payment systems and services revenue generating potential services both within the group as well as externally to customers
  • Manage, oversee and maintain all Payments platforms and service architecture within the group
Professional background
  • Minimum of 4 year tertiary degree
  • Minimum MBA or Masters
  • Relevant Certifications for industry
  • Fluent in English
  • Minimum 8 years with Managerial level experience  
  • Minimum 5 years Payment System experience
  • Worked across diverse cultures and geographies (advantageous)
  • Experience working in a medium to large organisation
