Do you recommend AWS solution architect or Azure Essentials?

Comparing both curriculums, seems to me that you will be better served with a more in-depth, course by doing the AWS Solution Architect certification. It also helps to know which public cloud provider you will use during your consulting assignment, and that may guide your decision.

But all in all, cloud tends to offer the same functionalities with different flavours and name tags. By doing the AWS certification, you should feel almost at home with Azure.

I will recommend Azure Essentials certification.

If you see your career being at the technical design and implementation either course helps you develop and maintain mastery in those areas.
However, if you have many years of Telecomm experience and you seek to have an appreciation of Cloud, you may be better served looking at specific courses that help yo understand opportunities and challenges that telecom providers, digital companies and media publishing are facing as they seek to exploit cloud based telecomms.

AWS in my experience has been more versatile when it comes to custom deployments and options therein. While Azure isn’t necessarily a vendor lock in, having used both, time to deploy and flexibility has been better with AWS

Hi Rafa, AWS SA it is, Azure is will be for you like add-on.

I think the big three are all worthwhile, particularly for a consultant. AWS is well in the lead, but MS showed a 62% growth in 2019 as compared with the 33% growth from AWS. Google cloud is quite far behind the other two but is also showing good growth rate.

I would recommend Azure. Both are more or less the same, but is better for you have a broader view as you have already experience with AWS
