Description
Our client is a telecom operator in Qatar looking for a Technical Design Architect for their project.Responsibilities:
- Design Authority for the E2E technical and service solution for all simple and complex deals with customers, either in single geography or with global multinational requirements
- Work with Sales/Solution Architect and directly with customers in order to design the technical High-level & Low-Level Design, test, Implement and document compelling solutions
- Act as SME for solutions within one of the following Enterprise portfolio areas:
- Fixed connectivity – WAN (MPLS Global, Domestic, Business Internet)
- LAN & Wi-Fi
- Unified communications and collaboration
- Voice Connectivity (SIP-T, PRI)
- Microsoft Express Route
- SaaS, IaaS & PaaS Data Center Architect (Public)
- Respond to requests for new technology or technology-derived solutions
- Work closely with other team members, including the technical community, Projects and Program, Service Delivery and Assurance Managers
Professional background
- 5-6 years Design Architect or similar role
- Experience in the Telecom and Services Industry
- Strong experience in the following areas:
- IP Network Design Solution Architecture, Solution Lifecycle, IoT and Validation, E2E Methodologies, & NW Migration field
- Custom solution design, architecture, network integration & verification across Wireless, cable and wireline technologies
- In-depth knowledge of Unified Communications architecture, Deployment models. With all the associated services and integrations (Cisco & Avaya in major). Unified Communications including IPT, SIP, IM, Email and Video Conferencing, Contact center. Audio Conferencing, recording with multi-vendor products such as Cisco, Avaya, etc and value propositions in ITIL-based model that includes Design, Transition & Operate phases
- Knowledge in (Cisco, HP, IBM, etc.) Data Center and Cloud Solutions. Knowledge of VMware Server Virtualization, Desktop virtualization and, ideally, experience in Storage Area Networks
- Knowledge of IP addressing, subnetting, routing protocols (i.e. OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, etc.), MPLS, QoS, Multicast, VLAN, IPv6, VPLS and VPRN, Switching, security, Wireless, VoIP, UC and collaboration
- Experience in Data Center Interconnect Solution
- Experience in NOC setup
- Experience in large scale solution /Nationwide project or smart cities project
- Expertise/knowledge of Microsoft Projects, Visio and MS and other BPM tools
- Knowledge of OSS and BSS Applications/Tools
