I would be very thankful about scaled Agile implementation examples.
Specific condition:
- it is not everything IFaaS => all possible HW implementation are in place
- maintenance tasks are on daily base
Hi Konstantin, from my experience infrastructure work is not always suitable to be picked up in sprints. But Agile is more than working in sprints (Scrum). A Kanban way of working where you focus on creating flow and regularly come together to prioritize tasks can work great. Just make sure you enable flow by limit your work in progress (not to much tasks at the same time), use visualization (kanban board) and do a retrospective with the team every 2-4 weeks to identify bottlenecks and improve your way of working. May I ask you about the level of uncertainty that you are dealing with in your deliverables? How much is the IaaS already productized? Or is it always changing project kind of work? This will all define your approach!
Well, it is not IF as a SW at all, or let’s say very small part and can’t be considered as main driver. To make situation simply - let’s say there is no IFaaS. Just imagine yourself a work as establishing of new office where you need to introduce all needed IF to make it part of a big international corporation. Or implementation of routers and FW for branches or service as IP client as Lynx/Skype. Plus portion of maintenance requests to this. This is work field where the transformation is going on. In every case it is well known tasks, no discovering, but tricky for orchestration as you need to cooperate with local support/business, where guys have different priorities and different management. Somehow like this.
