Front-End Engineer

Description

We are looking for a senior Frontend engineer with expertise in web and API integrations.

Main responsibilities are ensuring integration of APIs in merchant sites, alignment of web user experience requirements, optimizing for maximum efficiency and maintaining consistency and quality across all platforms, among others. The FE Developer Lead is required to work in teams alongside Backend Developers and User Experience Designers to ensure all elements of web & mobile application creation are consistent. This requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Other responsibilities:

• Work closely with designer and backend engineer to create awesome products
• Build well-structured UI components that follow best practices
• Develop functional and appealing web and mobile based websites
• Optimize the application in terms of speed and scalability
• Build a reusable code base with test cases
• Develop features to enhance the user experience
• Align strategy and planned timelines with other key functions
• Lead, motivate and manage large technical teams
• Work collaboratively in an Agile environment

Key Deliverables

• Web-based E2E system
• API integrations
• Strategic & tactical OKRs and specific KPIs for F/E development

Professional background

• Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science (or similar)
• 5+ years of professional software development in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Strong knowledge of modern F/E technologies (React, Vue, Redux)
• Enthusiastic about JavaScript standards ES6 and ES7
• Experience with TypeScript or other strongly-typed languages
• Familiarity with build tools and familiarity with the Node.js ecosystem
• Experience with CSS Preprocessors (SASS, LESS) and CSS organization methodologies
• Strong experience in various types of testing approaches and code quality tools
• Experience in building mobile first and responsive web
• Experience with CI/CD practices
• Passion for improving user experience
• Knowledge and experience in Agile methodology
